Setting default values

This screen sets the default values for data-columns of the dataset which had NULL values [inherited from the source]. Note that only the “dimension” data-elements can be set to default values. All dimensions in the under-configuration or configured data set appear on the left hand pane of the screen. The first field suggests that the alias name of the dimension is the identifier. The Generated id is for internal use and cannot be edited. The “Source Name” is the name of the source column. In case the alias name is duplicated then the alias name would have a generated attachment [usually a number] with the alias name.  For string type columns "Undefined" appear, for numeric columns “0” appear and for date columns blank value appear – in the value placeholder for the “Default Value” field.
