User Access Levels
IDEAL-ANALYTICS [IA] categorizes the users in three layers of privilege:
- Administrator : One administrator is created by default during the creation of the account. More administrators can be added to or deleted from an account, but the system provided administrator can’t be deleted. Administrator is the most powerful user who can do the following functionalities:
- Create, edit and delete accounts
- Can purchase new license, renew license
- Can create, edit or delete groups within an account
- Can manage the group privileges
- Can create, edit & delete users
- Can manage user privileges
- Can block and unblock individual existing users
- Can provide individual R/W access to individual users
- Can run the entire tool with all its features as users
- Create the share-access privilege for downstream users or other administrators
- Professional user: Users who can run the tool with the privilege of doing the following functionalities:
- Manage Connectors
- Manage Data Sources
- Manage Data Sets
- Manage dashboard views and view-groups
- Manage the share privileges for normal users or users of the same group
- Can provide R/W access to individual users
- Can create, load, launch reports and can pass on the share-privileges to normal users and users of the same group
- Normal user:
- Create, edit & delete dataset on a shared folder
- Create, edit & delete folders within that shared folder
- Edit, delete, load or load from other data-sources if privileges are given for that dataset
- As an owner for a dataset, (s)he gets all access for a dataset
- Can see dashboard views related to shared or created datasets and also can be involved to dashboard externalization activities
- Can manage report for shared or created datasets
